Photos. Photograph collections are a graphic way to exchange information and ideas about students and their environments. Reproducing and distributing photo collections in the print world is very expensive, but using web technology making these collections available only requires that the photos be digitized. Photo collections and photo essays are welcome contributions to this web site. Appropriate text must accompany photos. Photos must be in jpg format and be no more than 600 pixels wide to accommodate all browsers.
Video. Submissions of video are welcome, but must be in Windows Media Player (avi) format. Since all Windows machines have WMP built in it is the easiest format for the majority of viewers users. Mac users will need to download WMP software ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/mac71.aspx ) or have software to play avi files.
Sounds. Photograph collections reflect a print metaphor applied to web space. At present no one has provided recordings of soundscapes from campuses, but this is a distinct possibility given web based technology.
Photographs, graphics, videos and sound recordings are subject to the same editorial review process as articles and copyright is taken very seriously.
